The Boss of Club Boss Babes

Chrissy Lazar is the founder of Club Boss Babes! Club Boss Babes is a community and platform for ambitious, inspiring and used to uplift women. They are an online platform and host events in Miami, Los Angeles and Cleveland. Their mission is to empower women by providing them with the tools, resources and network needed for personal and business growth.

Chrissy, Where did you get the idea to start Club Boss Babes?

Club Boss Babes started out of the need for change, growth and support. After six years of working as a digital marketing professional in corporate America, I found myself overworked, underpaid and just pretty unhappy in life. So I made the decision to stop “wanting” change and start “being” the change I wanted.

I took my years of digital marketing experience and passion for fashion and applied it to my first business, an online clothing store. I started practicing self-care routines; meditation and manifestation and decided to focus my energy inwards in hopes of bettering myself. Lastly, I started surrounding myself with like-minded women, that I felt were extremely business driven and goal oriented.

That was the first part of the transformational period, which led me to the idea of Club Boss Babes. The second part occurred when I would have  coffee shop meet ups with my girlfriends. We would call them “Boss Babe Meetups” and routinely pencil each other in our busy schedules to meet, work and talk about our upcoming business projects, gain new insights and get help. From there, we felt there was a need for this type of empowering, motivating and helpful community in Miami, FL and so we built exactly that, which started as Mia Boss Babes and is now Club Boss Babes.

Three words that describe the mission of Club Boss Babes:

  1. Empowering
  2. Inspiring
  3. Uplifting

What’s the smartest business decision you’ve ever made?

When I made the decision to invest in my mental, spiritual, physical and emotional health. Because if you aren’t right within, than you just can’t win.

What has been your experience with failure and success?

You can’t have one without the other. Failure is typically the driving force behind success.

Who is your role model/mentor?

My Grandmother, she always believes in me, NO MATTER WHAT. Adrienne Bono, from her boss-like work ethic, to her personal, business advice and even to being the best mother I have ever seen. She’s made me realize there are no limits in life, other than the limits we set upon ourselves. And the amazing women I’ve met through the Club Boss Babes community. They have been HUGE in my personal and professional growth. I am forever grateful for each and every individual mentioned above.

Advice you would give to your younger self:

Always stay true to who you are, no matter what, because you are so special just the way you are.

Your favorite quote:

“Spread love, not hate.”

What advice do you have for young women who want to follow their passion but aren’t sure how to get there?

1. You don’t need to have all the answers figured out in order to get started.

2. You already have everything inside of you to create the life you want.

3. Believe in yourself. Believe in yourself. Believe in yourself… No matter what anyone tells you.

What’s next for you?

Well, I recently co-launched a digital marketing agency called Luna Wolf Digital. This project is still in its beginning stages, but I feel really good about it. The reason being, our focus is to help the “do good, be good, feel good” businesses have their voices be heard and their stories be told. To us, it’s more important to shine a light on the mission driven brands rather than the money driven brands, for the better good of this world.

“Self-care like a boss, because Self-love is power.” – Chrissy Lazar
